Carrington Adkins — Johns Creek, GA

Because of you, me and my household are real Christians.  I believe I am saved as a result of the prayers of the saints in faith and through the spoken word—you preaching on a tape at the 1st New Generation Campus Ministries’ Leadership Training School.  In short, my girlfriend went to the 2nd LTS (unable to attend the 1st due to pregnancy with my child), she got changed, ended our relationship, and adopted whole new set of living standards.  This led me to that tape—to discover how she got “brainwashed”.  You were talking on subjects like “dating is of the devil”, calling students that engaged in marital benefits before the time “fleshwalkers”.  This message was partly a classically-Boone holiness message.  However, though not yet a Christian, there was an unidentifiable cohesiveness to the message that brought faith doctrine full circle--the application of faith.  You talked about setting a standard in the classroom, at home, and in the workplace.  I now know this to be holiness from the inside-out.  I would go on to learn principles like “leadership through lowliness”, “worm-training”, “low-looking people,ԗa look and posture of humility, “taking the ‘LҔ, secret giving, “fasting for results”, being “willing to die for what you believe in”, “identificational repentance”, and how to be “numbered with the transgressors”.  Then, you taught me about biblical worldview and marketplace relevance.  You taught on the “principle of pounding”, how to have “heaven in your home”, the “economic value of holiness”, “Total Domination” in every area of life and more.  These principles have become first-nature to my wife and I.  This is what I now want to impart to my family and others—to carry on the legacy of revelation and revolutionary Christian thinking—your ideology of “the potential of Adam if he hadn’t sinned”, “IN earth…as it is in heaven” as the standard, “the seed makes the ground good”, and “the season, like faith, is always now”.  You’ve been a dad to me more than my own has.  I pray that you see your impact on me, my family and others in THIS lifetime and that we represent those latter that shall be greater.  You believe in me beyond what I believe for myself and I thank you.  To end, I remind you of the last three principles and charges you’ve given me – 1) Content is King, 2) Create a Memory, and 3) Build an Empire!  This is what I’m believing for you, Bishop.  I love you.
